Peter Schuwalow
Head Coach
Peter is an accredited athletic coach with Athletics Australia achieving success as a personal coach at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and multiple World Championship events, including Open, Cross Country and University events. He has also guided many athletes to medals at State and National Championships (over 50 State/National individual medals in the last two years). Peter’s squad has a diversity of senior and junior athletes training for events from 800m – Marathon, as well as Cross Country and Road events. He has worked with a range of athletes from recreational to elite athletes who have ambitions to make the Olympics or aiming to complete their first fun run or to achieve a target such as breaking 4hours for the marathon.
Over the years Peter has worked as the Distance Coach for the Victorian Institute of Sport and held the position of Team Manager and Coach for numerous National Teams such as the World University Games, International Ekiden Relay Teams and World Half Marathon Championships.
Peter has coached at numerous leading Independent Schools including Head Coach of Athletics and Cross Country at Caulfield Grammar School and Head of Cross Country at Carey Baptist Grammar. His passion is to guide individuals from a range of abilities and distances to achieving the Zenith of their set goals as well as supporting them through the challenges along their individual path to success. Peter currently works as the Head of Sport at an inner city Grammar School.

Serena Schuwalow
Coach & Educator
Serena is an accredited Athletic coach with Athletics Australia as well as an IAAF Athletics Kids coach. She is a former two time National Junior Champion and 6 time State Junior Record Holder, as well as a 4 time National Open medalist who has represented Australia on 3 occasions.
Serena is a Physical Education Teacher who has worked in numerous leading private schools, including Wesley College. She worked as the Head of Athletics and Cross Country at Toorak College, achieving positive cultural change, resulting in record number student participation in the program and historic numbers qualifying for State Championships, that resulted in two State Titles in 2019. Serena has recently acted as a consultant to schools on improvement strategies to bring positive change to their sports programs. Working in schools, Serena witnessed how often individuals struggled to maximise their potential due to an under developed mindset. Coupled with her own experiences as an athlete and completing a Mentoring Program at Monash University, along with her two Education degrees, she developed a passion to arm athletes with strategies and structure to achieve success.
Serena understands how imperative it is to train an emotionally fit athlete who can then succeed in all aspects of their life, including academic and workplace performance.
Serena has run a 2:44 marathon and has placed in the prestigious Zatopek 10,000m event. She continues to run herself and recently ran a Sub 3hour marathon at the Gold Coast Marathon.
